Herefordshire Heartstart would like to thank the TSB, Commercial Street, Hereford for the £125 donation to support the work of the charity.
The charity delivers free Heartstart how to save a life courses at venues across Herefordshire. Courses are offered to local groups across the county, voluntary organisations, other charities, businesses, schools, as well as at public courses offered at a wide variety of venues.
The two hour courses teaches members of the public essential skills to keep someone alive until the emergency services arrive. The Heartstart course teaches how to deal with an unconscious casualty, heart attack, serious bleeding, choking and CPR (cardiopulmonary resuscitation).
Loraine Coleman, Co-ordinator/Project Manager for the charity said “We were pleased that the TSB chose to make a donation to the charity. We rely on donations, fundraising and small grants to keep this service running. Donations are essential and help to cover the ongoing costs of running the courses, eg phone line/calls, broadband, replacement parts for manikins, lungs, wipes, projection equipment, course paperwork, volunteer mileage, etc.”
