Herefordshire Heartstart would like to thank Ledbury Community Choir for the £250 donation to support the work of the charity. The charity delivers free Heartstart how to save a life courses throughout Herefordshire. The two hour courses teaches members of the public essential skills to keep someone alive until the emergency services arrive. The course teaches how to deal with an unconscious casualty, heart attack, serious bleeding, choking and CPR (cardiopulmonary resuscitation).
Loraine Coleman, Co-ordinator/Project Manager for the charity said “We are extremely grateful for this donation. The charity relies on donations, fundraising and small grants to keep this service running. Every penny counts to keep this vital service running. Donations are essential and help to cover the ongoing costs of running the courses, eg phone line/calls, broadband, replacement parts for manikins, lungs, wipes, projection equipment, course paperwork, volunteer mileage, etc.”
