Gadag PRESS RELEASE
Herefordshire Cardiac Support Group £550 Donation to Herefordshire Heartstart
Herefordshire Heartstart are pleased to announce that the Herefordshire Cardiac Support Group donated £550 to assist the charity. The donation was given to help the charity to teach more people how to help someone who may be suffering a heart event or other life threatening emergency.
Loraine Coleman Co-ordinator/Project Manager:- “Thank you to the members of the Herefordshire Cardiac Support Group for this kind donation to support the work of the charity. We rely on grants, donations and fundraising to keep this vital service running for the people in Herefordshire.”
Herefordshire Cardiac Support Group was formed in 2013. The group was made up of people who had all experienced a personal heart event.
The aim of the group was to help other people who were going through similar situations and to offer help and support. During the past two years the group held several social evenings and although the aim was not to fundraise, through the generosity of those attended, they were in a position to donate to Herefordshire Heartstart.
Herefordshire Heartstart deliver free Heartstart how to save a life courses across Herefordshire, as well as training Schools staff to deliver the skills to pupils.
Volunteers also give talks to Cardiac Rehab patients in Ross, Leominster and Hereford to encourage them to go out and spread the word about the importance of learning these vital skills and to book onto a course.
If you can help the charity by making a donation or can organise a fundraising event, please Contact the Co-ordinator/Project Manager Loraine Coleman on 01432 850067 or email email@example.com or write to Mrs L Coleman, Herefordshire Heartstart, PO Box 305, HEREFORD HR1 9JD

This includes dealing with choking, serious bleeding, heart attack, unconsciousness and CPR (cardiopulmonary resuscitation). These are simple skills that can and do save lives.
