Heartstart Fundraising Event at Whitney on Wye Toll Bridge
Sunday 14th July – 9am to 5pm
Herefordshire Heartstart have been successful in a bid to hold a bucket collection at Whitney on Wye Toll Bridge on Sunday 14th July. Heartstart volunteers will be manning the bridge during the day, some will be wearing their hard and fast t shirts (which ties in with the Vinnie Jones campaign to teach untrained bystanders hands only CPR).
The usual toll charge will be removed, but people crossing the bridge are asked to make a donation to the charity to support their vital work. Money raised will be used to help them to continue teaching emergency life saving skills across the county.
Volunteers will also have home made cakes and biscuits for sale (by way of a donation) for hungry travellers crossing the bridge. Please support the charity by making a crossing on that day and donating whatever you feel able to.
Herefordshire Heartstart are a registered charity set up to deliver the British Heart Foundation Heartstart Scheme locally. Every year we train hundreds of people in the community at our two hour courses. Details of courses can be found at www.herefordshireheartstart.org or by emailing info@herefordshireheartstart.org or call the Co-ordinator/Project Manager Loraine Coleman on 0845 60 60 654
