25,000 Person Trained in Herefordshire

Herefordshire Heartstart recently awarded their 25,000 certificate on a Heartstart course in Leominster in May. Leominster Library kindly hosted the Heartstart course in their community room. The Heartstart was attended by a small number of local people who learned the skills that could help to save a life. The skills taught included: how to deal with an unconscious, breathing casualty; how to deal with an unconscious, non-breathing casualty; signs and symptoms of a heart attack; what to do if someone is choking; dealing with severe bleeding.

Our 25,000 certificate went to Jan Lockett, a Leominster resident. She herself has been the recipient of a heart transplant and has had her life saved by CPR on many occasions. Jan herself told us ‘I just feel everyone should be taught CPR’.
