Last week I made an important visit to Kingstone and Thruxton Primary School. Children belonging to the Young Hopefuls Group, supported by Mrs Hanson, have been fundraising over the year for a range of charities.
As part of their group the children took part in an activity session run by Herefordshire Heartstart. They learned what to do in an emergency and how to roll an unconscious casualty into the recovery position. The children also listened while I told them about the charity Herefordshire Heartstart and the work it does in the community; teaching the people of Herefordshire essential skills that could help save a life.
The children decided that Herefordshire Heartstart should receive a share of the amount they raised over the year. I was honoured to attend their celebration assembly and be presented with a donation of £50.
Herefordshire Heartstart would like to say a very big thank you to the children of the Young Hopefuls Group for this donation.
